Hawaii humidity has gotten to me and caused me to take drastic measures. My hair was so hot on my neck and back. I was wearing it in a matronly bun almost everyday. I have always admired those who donate hair to Locks of Love, an organization that collects long hair to make wigs for cancer patients undergoing chemotherapy (mostly children). I went online to get more info and it turns out you have to have at least 10 inches to donate! I hadn't planned on going that short, but I figured "why not?". This morning I got it chopped and it feels so good! I am really happy with it and no regrets yet. It has been good for the neck and good for the soul. Here's how it all went down...
Before shot
AHHHHH!!!!
This braid is so heavy! I can't believe I have been carrying all that weight. No wonder I was hot.
The new me!

I LOVE IT, KC!!! You look fabulous. I don't think you've ever had a short cut look so good. The color looks great too. It had to feel equally good to mail off that braid. I've always wanted to do that, but I've never had the patience to grow my hair that long.
Sorry I had to cut our conversation short - I'll call you tomorrow, you sexy thang.
Oh so chic! Kayc- it looks great! Very you. I love that it was long enough to donate- you have such thick hair it will make a fabulous piece for someone who needs it. You are my hero- as usual!

WOW! you look fantastic with that new haircut, Kaycee. super super chic, love it.
Isn't it freeing to have shorter hair?
Yay Kaycee! I'm so impressed by you! Humidty and hair just don't mix-so sad! Love the new cut. How does Travis like it? It's so awesome that you donated your hair. What a fun post. It's so great to keep in touch! So many changes for you...I love it! Your like a new woman! Sent a package...they said it should be there Monday.
Kaycee - That is awesome good for you. I've always wished I could do that, but I can't pull off cute short hair like you. You look great. Way to do your good deed for the day! Love you
Your cut is so flattering! Congratulations for taking the plunge and going shorter.
As my girls would say...hubba hubba ding ding!"
Watch out Victoria Beckham!
really do love it! Very cute!
I have always had short bobs and they are so much easier then this mop I have now. I may follow your lead.
Hey Bug! I love your new haircut. Looks great on you! And what a neat thing to do. Has to make you feel good to give such a charitable gift.
Can't wait to see your hair in person.
Love you! Mom
